When Reagan came to our all black jr. high school in the fall of 1984

to speak to the students, you didn't hear about any parents wanting to pull their kids out of school. Hell, it didn't even make the news. Local news, maybe, but not National. There were no letters sent from the school to parents telling them what would be happening. It just happened. The man came, he spoke, he left. End of story.


Gee...why oh why are they making such a big deal out of this president speaking in front of schoolchildren?
