Thank You Representative Clyburn........
I'm thankful that he brought the resolution to the floor and it passed. I tuned in late, but he was the ONLY one I saw speak up against Wilson. There were at least 7 speakers on the republican side. Listening to Clyburn speak brought tears to my eyes.

1. I caught the end, too. Silence breeds consent and contempt.
It needed to be done. Make an example of that fool.

2. The list...
of Dems that voted with the republicans.

Dems voting against reprimand Wilson:
Arcuri
Delahunt
Giffords
Hinchey
Hodes
Kucinich
Maffei
Massa
McDermott
Moore (WI)
Taylor
Teague

**I'm not familiar with any of these folks except Kucinich. Earlier, it was reported that Barney Frank would vote No, but he voted present.

5. I am shocked by the defense of DK... he is, once again,
portrayed as standing up for censure (i.e. the right, courageous thing) and by doing so gives in to Joe Wilson. Don't want to interrupt this group but I am becoming more and more disgusted by some of the things I see on DU re: race and racism. I am in an interracial marriage and I am constantly reminded of the double standards (re: race) that African-Americans live with.

6. Welcome CBR
You are not interrupting. :hi:

There is no excuse for voting with the rw on this issue. There was nothing "civil" about Wilson's actions and if this resolution failed, what would be next?
