When I found this board...
I was really happy. I never thought that a year later, I would be reading flat out venemous statements toward the Democratic President. Not for some infraction or bad decision, but hatred for being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.

Empowerer posted this earlier:

"Much of this is not based on hatred - it's confusion born of racism
Many of these people truly believe that blacks are intellectually, socially, politically and morally inferior to whites and truly cannot understand how this African-American man keeps achieving these things - and why no one else but them seems to find it strange.

What is happening conflicts with their perception of reality and it's very confusing and frustrating for them."

**I still call it HATE, and boy is it sickening.**

1. If they can't "claim" him then they have to degrade him. Cause
he's a you know what. That's this country for you. Sweet land of liberty.

2. Firedup, DU is not representative of shit.
Sorry for sounding so blunt but it's the truth. This place is full of half-educated, morally superior dumbasses, half of which I FIRMLY believe have never even worked in the real world or seen shit outside of the four corners of their neighborhoods.

Empowerer's comment is spot on: it's confusion. So many people here have seen this country define black people for so long that when the time comes for us to define ourselves they get scared, confused, and threatened as hell. I don't know a single black person who has not had to deal with this on some level, even in the work place. We've all been there -- the white folks are your friends until you actually disagree with them on something or stand up for yourself. Suddenly, their definition of you being the "go along Negro" has been ripped into shreds. They don't know what do do so of course, they turn on you.

Same thing has happened to Obama, except in this case, these people were too stupid to wait until he actually did something wrong. They piled on him before his black ass even TOOK OFFICE. They screamed that he was a sell out, a corporatist, a homophobe, a whatever three weeks, five weeks, ten weeks into his term when the damned ink was still drying on his inauguration certificate. Are there some things that Obama could do differently or better? Most definitely. Is this man a failure? Obama wouldn't know how to even spell failure if you put a gun to his head. And that is what is KILLING the haters. Literally KILLING them.

This web site has done nothing but further my belief that the Dem party is as riddled with racist, backwards thinking hicks as the damn Repub party.

4. Girl, the hate coming from some of the fools on this site are like sweet, sweet nectar.
And I'm sure that it's just a happy coincidence that the same ones who have criticized Obama on EVERY SINGLE STEP he has made, right or wrong, are also the same ones "concerned" and "worried" about the peace prize "losing its impact" or that it's "just too soon for him to win."

Who in HELL do these assholes think that they are fooling????!!!!

6. Thanks Ladies,
I'm glad my son had a game and I could take a break from all the garbage today.

These assholes are fooling no one. Same ones, that always shit on him were out in force today. The same filth and I'm sick of it. Of course when you let them have it, your comments are deleted but they continue to post their racist bullshit.

Roland Martin summed it up today when he said "they were mad when Obama woke up this morning."

7. Indeed, DU is not representitive of anything in the known universe.
except that too many people seem to have entirely too much time on their hands, and need to get out more, and spend less time online.

Put that keyboard away! Turn that computer off!

Get outside! It is a beautiful day. Have a new life experience.
