LANDSTUHL, Germany — They finish each other’s sentences.
They’ve known each other since the sixth grade.
They call each other “sister” even though they’re not related.
Even the military can’t separate them.
And now for their first assignment in the Air Force, Airman Taija Alcantara and Airman Tiamae Cruz work the same job on the same post — thousands of miles from Guam, the Pacific Ocean island they call home.
