2 Fort Lee soldiers charged in shooting death

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — Two soldiers have been charged in the shooting death of a man who was trying to leave a North Carolina nightclub.

Authorities told the Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk, Va., that 21-year-old Antoine Williams of Winfall was shot several times Friday as he tried to leave the Elizabeth City Restaurant and Lounge.

Investigators say Williams argued with a man whose car was blocking his vehicle in the parking lot.

Police have charged 22-year-old Shawn Horskins with first-degree murder and 19-year-old Everett Bynum with accessory to murder after the fact. They are both soldiers at Fort Lee in Petersburg, Va.

It wasn’t immediately clear if either man had an attorney.
