Richardson asks Melissa Etheridge to ask Al Gore not to run |
|
On the LGBT forum, as Richardson was finishing up, he said to Melissa Etheridge, "Please tell Al Gore not to run." Cracked me up!

3. It was before, I think |
|
Yeah, I just lost my second choice. I need a new one, and Dennis is starting to actually win me over. He won the last two debates hands down, I think. He's honest, straightforward and has all the right answers. I just wish he didn't look like Dobby. Unfortunately, I think that will hurt him and I don't think he can win the primary or the general.
Please, Al, please? Please run!

I just wish he didn't look like Dobby.
OTOH, Mitt Romney reminds me of Gilderoy Lockhart.

4. Richardson fumbled the answer because |
|
he didn't know that was a winger 'hotword' to justify persecution.
In a way I find that refreshing about Richardson. No way do I think that anyone who would have shown up in that forum would have answered 'choice' in anti-gay winger context.
I like Richardson, I don't think he's the one but I like Richardson. People should check out his 'Apollo' type comments regarding GW. Again I don't think he's the one but I'll be prepared to pick the distant second if it comes to that.

5. Ok. I can accept that but |
|
why wouldn't he have had a pre-event chat with his staff that would have gone over the hot-button issues of this group? I guess I presume that's what candidates would do for any community-specific event. GLBT is a very volatile group right as they have the least civil rights of any one group in the country - except maybe illegal immigrants.
I just think it says something that he didn't know.
I did like what he said about who his VP would NOT be if he were president in the debates the other night - that was good. Do you have a link to his Apollo comments - I would like to hear.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAO4hSl7Y6kVery strong. But can he wrestle down the energy lobby? Can Edwards?

7. I think we will need to help whoever gets in to |
|
wrestle down those criminals. Gore of course would have the most clout to do it.
