We pre-empt them by making websites that clearly lay out fact and fiction. We, experienced in contacting the press, mail (snail mail works a bit better) to protest and correct. We have so many tools these days (YouTube, websites, flyers, grassroots orgs that just weren't there back in 2000).

Another thing to consider is that compared to 2000, the "scandals" look so petty and insignificant today. People aren't scared of "Buddhist monks" anymore. So much crap has come out from everybody else in this gossip-saturated society that Gore looks positively tame in comparison.

2. I say ignore the old crap and answer the new crap

They beat the Buddhist temple farce into the ground to no avail. IMO answering some of their tired, lame rhetoric is an exercise in futility. The repetition of their lame accusations only works on their most dense of sheep; people with 1+ brain cells tune it out. Or maybe I'm giving people too much credit.
