REVELATIONS of alleged atrocities committed by the embattled founder and General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), Emeka Ezeugo aka Rev King, continued yesterday when another prosecution witness, Jessica Iwene, told an Ikeja High Court that she was forced to confess that she belonged to a a dreaded witchcraft society by Rev King.
Like the previous prosecution witnesses, she also disclosed that the church leader, several times, had immoral affairs with her on the pretext that she would be a great person.
Led in evidence by the state Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Mrs Biola Okikiolu-Ighile, the witness told the court that she was hypnotised by Rev. King when he forced her to drink some concoctions after a seven-day dry fasting, sequel to which she now surrendered herself to all directives from the church leader. Following this, Jessica said no matter how difficult a task was, she found it difficult to query Rev. King's action.
She said: "He told me and some other church workers that we have to go for a seven-day dry fasting, because we are working for God. At the end of the fasting, he gave us some liquid substance to swallow and since then I found it difficult to query the actions of the accused person. This made me to believe him always. Out of fear, I was also made to own up to an allegation of being a witch by the accused person."
