| Starwood? Any DU'ers go?? |
|
There was a great workshop on the new American Theocracy and it really had people activated for the rest of the 5 day festival. I didn't make it but I would get off a rant or two at the Didj Dome every now and then and someone would tell me about the workshop this person did. Sounded like they may have been a DUer.
Anyways I really would love for any DU'ers to come up and see me at the Didj Dome next year, I'll pass you mead and things and you pass me some of that legendary DU camaraderie!
Peace!

A place? An event? A festival? Where? Is it annual? Obviously I didn't go.

I've always thought about it (once had a coworker who went annually, and it sounded like a blast), but it was completely off my radar (started new job, getting married in the fall) and I really wouldn't have any friends, circle sisters, etc., to go with from my local area.

If Kim is up to it and we get a dog sitter that is. I haven't been to Brushwood in a while. I remember the grouple dome, the didji dome I don't remember, Do you have any pics? is it new? I remember you saying you had a hand in creating it, what have I been missing?
edited to add- By the way, did you get a copy of the new ArtVoice? You are local to me so I thought you might have seen my LTTE there.
If I get into the Beast I will be three for three on my Buffalo submissions.

That talk was by Phyllis Curott, my coven's high priestess (needless to say, I'm a little biased). She's given this talk several times now across the country (including so-called "red" states like Colorado and Texas). She's gotten a wonderful response wherever she's gone.
She'll be giving this talk, entitled "Sex, Religion and Politics: The Growing Threat of American Theocracy to Contemporary Paganism" this coming Saturday, 8/6 from 3-4:00 pm at the Hands of Change's 8th Annual Pagan Picnic, Johnson Park, Grove 5, in Piscataway, NJ.
