I started a thread earlier in GD about a pro-war "witch" on The NewsHour. I apologize if I offended anyone. I am really very, very sorry and embarrassed by my stupidity.

I visit this forum frequently, just to read and try to understand a little better. I enjoy it here.

1. I saw that thread

When I see people use the w-word that way and they otherwise appear to be non-harmful and non-threatening, I usually give it a pass as just a usage that most of us grew up with, not knowing any different. I was in my forties before I knew there were people who called themselves witches and weren't tourist attractions in Salem. With the growing popularity of various forms of paganism and exposure on TV shows, it should be becoming less common for people not to know better, but I haven't shifted myself into a quick-condemnation stance yet.

What a very nice thing to read in here. I didn't see your post, but I see 'witch' bantered about quite a bit. I guess I am little used to it, but shouldn't be.

Thank you for your apology, but this witch was not offended (I didn't see the comment), not that I think I would have been.
