at the current results. About 11% reporting no belief in a higher power, which is pretty much what we know. Overwhelmingly did not bother people (about 2 to 1). Maybe there IS hope.

| 3. Yes, Rev. Jackson is a silly man who deserves to smell stinky farts. |
|
But what do you expect, 'reverend' usually means that the person makes no sense.

The large majority aren't bothered, but they'll keep reporting that "some" are. It legitimizes the importance of the believers talking about them as if they are the norm. x(

| 8. Isn't it interesting, by the way, that the question itself is phrased in such a negative way? |
|
"Did it bother you?", as opposed to "Do you approve?"
An update: Common sense is ahead, by almost a 4-1 margin:
No: 73%, 437,023 votes Yes: 27%, 161,173 votes

Simply asking the question will evoke way more "nos" than if it hadn't been asked. I don't give a shit what the results of that poll are. A significant portion of so-called "believers" don't even really believe. Those are the people who don't comprehend the word "omniscient." They think they're "pulling one over" on the lawd. You can bet your ass that over 20% of the people in this country don't believe in god. It's just that they don't really think about it; they're just programmed to say they do by the mass media.
You really want to do something? Here's an idea: how about we get up an atheist meet up at one of those creation science museums? You know, do some serious homework for about three or four weeks, meet up with some fellow atheists for a mini vacation, and check it out. Take photos where we can, take lots of notes at the "museum," and write up an article. Just a thought. Prolly already been done, but wouldn't it be cool to experience it first hand?
