results in an overwhelming stress reaction and that can prove fatal. It can certainly mess up your body systems if you live through it.

To that extent, the garbage works. It's the reverse of the placebo effect.

But yeah, the whole thing was jaw dropping, the idea that such a belief system is alive and well in 2009.
