Are you back in Egypt? If so, how's the reaction to yesterday's Egypt vs. Brazil match?

I've been back in the USA since March.

But I'm sure the reaction was INTENSE. On the nights of big matches in Egypt, it was downright eerie. The streets emptied and everybody was in the coffee and shisha shops watching the game.

In Alexandria, when Egypt won, everybody drove down the Corniche (big street along the beach), blowing their car horns and generally raising havoc.

2. From what I hear, they're crying bloody murder on that last-second penalty call.

Funny thing is, they don't question that the defender decided to play goalie and avoided the goal, they say the referee was warned by his earpiece, and electronic means are a no-no. Silly, really.

Anyway, our defense was fucking abysmal, and we dodged a bullet.
