Coaches frequently aren't acedemically inclined, but you expect them to know a bit about atheletics, don't you? But that stupidity pales before his proudly advertising that he'd put a fictional character before his family. Disgusting.

Let's not forget that Sunday School teachers deliberately and premeditatedly relate the Abraham and Isaac story to young children -- telling them that their parents are (and should be!) ready to kill them if they hear a voice instructing them to.
You can't put the imaginary character any farther ahead of family than that.
And that behavior is just about universal with those monsters.
