1. Google ads are pretty damned funny sometimes
even on DU.

I started using Tor last week and now I get Google ads from around the world on DU, a little disconcerting, to say the least.

However, that one is classic. There is no crazy like god crazy.

2. More Amazon weirdness
I got one of their typical marketing e-mails this morning. (Which I deleted before I saw your link, unfortunately.)

These things always start: "As someone who has shown an interest in (xxxxxx) books, we think you may enjoy..."

This one accused me of having an interest in "Xian books." Then listed a bunch of worthless crap like Rick Warren and Joel Osteen. (Whose leering smile, with its 300 teeth, has always reminded me of a large rodent.)

Ewww! Ick! Spit!

I like to read reviews of Xer books sometimes and laugh at them. Maybe that's how they came to that bizarre conclusion. But AFAIK, I've never ordered any remotely Xian books. I ordered a wooden DVD rack not long ago, but it didn't look anything like a cross.
