More "Christian Values" on display

Mark over at Proud Atheists got a disturbing, very graphic death threat recently. He's done the right thing by alerting the FBI but we're all spreading the word on the Intertubes so people will be aware. The RRRWers are getting more desperate and dangerous now that they don't have the reins.

But in reality we're just one enemy (albeit one of their biggest targets). Anybody who doesn't fall in lockstep with their agenda is an enemy. Love Big Brother God or pay the price.

I tell very few people IRL about my atheism for this very reason. I live and work in an area with a high percentage of nutters (who are also serious firearms owners), and I'm seriously scared about what could potentially happen.

7. Anybody else watch History Channel tonight?

Interesting show about European torture devices - burning at the stake, The Scavenger's Daughter from the Tower of London, the Aragon Wheel of Death invented by the Spanish Inquisition, and others.

The show kept repeating that all these devices were used on two targets - witches and heretics.

8. We're doing it wrong

I guess we're doing it wrong at our website. We don't have any fundies of any religion...even though we're the spawn of atheists.com (now offline and ancient history)

Those that showed up there promised "understanding" and wanting an "honest" debate usually ended with the god threats and bible verses after failing to convert any of us.

Now that I think about it, maybe we're better off.
