| My friends son recently got in some trouble |
|
Which he ran away and also stole some things out of a car. Well he was finally picked up for smoking, since he is only 14 and he was hauled off to Juvenile..
He will be going before the judge for the first time tomorrow and receive his sentence for his actions.
My friend is a rather hard noised believer too, they were supporting McInsane during the election, hard to believe that this person I have known for nearly 20 years, has is such..
Any way, I posted a comment on her face book in reply to the new development in her sons situation, which I said: "Luck? He does not need luck, he needs to learn a lesson." because some one wished him "Good Luck" of all things.
Then one responded with "Well obviously what he's being taught currently isn't helping. And some luck never hurt anyone. What's with the negativity?!? geeeez." Reality to some, is just to hard to swallow obviously.
Do you really need 'luck' when you have broken the law? No, you need to learn a lesson and never repeat those actions that got in trouble to begin with or am I mistaken?

| 1. If you're Christian, you need luck. |
|
I don't recall if it was Aquinas or Augustine who laid it out, but if your Christian, you just need to ask Jesse to forgive you and you're absolved of all guilt. The lesson is that actions in this life don't matter as long as you ask Jesse for forgiveness.
It's quite possible that coming from a religious family, the kid has already learned this lesson, knows that his reward 'is in heaven,' and just needs luck to get as little physical punishment as possible.

I'm reminded of one of Jack Handey's Deep Thoughts that went something like this:
My young nephew told me his hard work paid off when he got an A on his final exam.
I told him he just got lucky. That way, whatever hes does, he'll always have that good, lucky feeling.

| 4. If a child asks you "what is rain?", tell him it is God crying |
|
And if he asks you why God is crying, tell him it is probably because of something he did.
...has about nothing to do with your post, but that Deep Thought cracks me up every time I think about it.
