| 3. Well, the evangelical seems to be the murderous psycho character. |
|
So, I'll reserve judgment.
But Hollywood has a sad history of considering murder more forgivable than adultery.

| 4. It's not so much that the atheist is portrayed as the adulterer while the evangelical is a murderer, |
|
it's shit like this in the description that gives away some pretty bigoted attitudes on the part of the writers:
"Without faith in an afterlife, will he be able to make a decision?"

| 5. So just what the fuck is a "non-believing atheist"? |
|
Or are they trying to say the lead character is an oxyMORON?

| 6. Is that supposed to be based on a Stephen King story? |
|
I forget the title, but, basically, it involved a mob boss forcing a tennis player sleeping with his wife to go around a small ledge on a high rise or be killed. There was no god-stuff involved, and played out more as a suspense story. It would actually make for a very good movie.

| 8. Yes, it was Night Shift |
|
I loved the ending (spoiler, highlight): the tennis player forcing the mobster to do the same thing, and waiting for him to return with a loaded gun in his hand.

very nice one.
I like King's early stuff, when editors still had power over him. Except when he went the gross out route.
Although, I really liked the unedited version of The Stand. I know it was a woo book, but the characters were so well put on the page, I can't help appreciating it.

| 10. Is it a "I'm going to kill you or her?" |
|
Because absent that, it's a no-brainer. I'm living. Even if it is me or her, I'm going with me. Just sayin.
