Just watched "Interview With A Vampire" on MS-NBC. The story of self-proclaimed vampire Rod Ferrell, who killed his girlfriend's parents in 1996. Not with his fangs, but with a crowbar.
One of the experts interviewed talked about some of the stories he's heard. One tale involved a buffet of dead babies, where the participants went down a literal buffet line and picked out their favorite parts. (At least he added that police have never found any evidence for this Rug-Ratatouille.)
How DARE they! Everybody knows atheists are the original and only baby-eaters.
Anyway, Mr. Ferrell claimed he also witnessed ritual vampire murders as a child. The police can't find any evidence for his claims either, and suspect that Ferrell is trying to get his sentence reduced. By tattling on his mother - Ferrell says she introduced him to Vampire Families as a boy.
Yep, it was pretty interesting show...
The comment was made that some modern vampires "treat it as a religion." A former leader of a Vampire Family said that's true, but he has another religion now - "straight-up Christian, for many years." Well, both rely heavily on the crucifix, I guess.
Mr. Ferrell actually convinced his pack of loser followers that he was a REAL vampire, who had lived many lives for thousands of years.
At least he won't have to worry about his next two lifetimes. He'll be spending those in Florida State Prison.
