Issue with lease/subletter--need advice. |
|
I'm subletting my business space part-time to another business.
The subletter, while he hasn't violated the lease, has become a nuisance and keeps asking for me to make changes to the space. I made it clear before we signed the lease that any changes to be made would be minimal/limited. His demands keep escalating well beyond what we agreed on verbally and he has become rude and very angry with me when I deny the changes. I want him out, as it's becoming clear that he's mentally unstable and very volatile.
What can I do?

2. I can offer a point or two. |
|
First off, any agreement that isn't in writing isn't an agreement in the eyes of the court.
Second first off, safety first! Do you think he is a threat to your safety?
I agree with the last poster, this is a situation for a good smart calm competent lawyer. Good luck, let us know how you're doing!
