Berman says Trek Xl is on target
Says there's no talk of scuttling the project and he hasn't been asked to "redevelop" anything.

My initial impression is positive. Guess we'll see.

3. Now in all fairness...
Berman broke the "odd Trek movies suck" trend with "Nemesis".
It was officially number 10 (four for the Next Generation) and...ugh.
It did horribly in the theaters (and pissed off this longtime Star Trek fan, too)
So you never *snicker* know. Berman might *snicker* pull it off. :eyes:

5. He broke the even-number record, too...
'first contact' ended up being an annoying little farce rather than anything of long time value... Unless this 'record' business pertains to box-office results rather than overall quality of storyline and production... (in which case the odd numbered TNG flicks would be the better ones, oddly!)

Insurrection is the best TNG movie and that one is #9.

9. I liked First Contact.
Though I think Voyager killed Star Trek.

4. Why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why
Edited on Sun Jan-23-05 01:05 AM by HypnoToad
Isn't Crapperprise supposed to be the prequel series?

Just how far can they go back anyway?

And who would give a rat's fart by now anyway!?

So I ask again: why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why

6. Obviously, Berman has no idea what "on target" means
for a Trek film, judging from his past work. For fucks sake, get some new blood in for writers/producers, etc.

8. Berman should be tried at the Hague
He's the only non-politician, non-government employee, non-military person in the world who deserves it. And to keep his particular place in the history of the world, he's the only one in that category who ever SHOULD be tried at the Hague.

So as to say, "Rick Berman, for what you have done to destroy Star Trek, the entire world has decided to put you on trial. And only you. The world hates you so much, and finds you so vile, that we are willing to break all war crimes rules and try you as history's only entertainer ever to be tried and executed for crimes against humanity. How guilty do you wish to plead?"

Stupid fucking asshole shitknocker. I wish to hell they would get rid of him. They should have gotten rid of him as soon as Generations came out. Absolutely should have gotten rid of him when that piece of shit farce First COntact came out. They should have walked into his office and executed him on the spot on opening day of that UTTER ABOMINATION THAT IS "Nemesis".
