So I'm listening to the pod for the last episode - Colonial Day.
And I hear him talking positively about Laura Roslin's pragmatism over idealism. Getting the job done vs holding the "Articles their version of the Consistution and Bill of Rights" as the priority. As he describes this political approach he uses Rummy's "You go to war with the army you have..." propaganda.
Am I reading to much into this?
Not that it matters much, the show is Outstanding! I'll continue to watch if Ron Moore is a repub at least he's a thinking repub - at least in the area of his work.

after watching the episode, I am in agreement with much of what Tom Zarek had to say about them creating a collective. I don't think he's the man to lead them, but in their current situation, they need to abandon a lot of their old class differences and pull together. There should be a way to do this without violating any civil rights but they really need to pool their resources and talents if they are going to survive.
They also need to make the individual ships as independent of the others for resources as possible in case they become separated and have to fend for themselves. Their entire race is at stake.

Zarek can't be trusted to led a sing-a-long. He's definately a "bad-guy" but he is bringing up points and issues that need to be brought up.
That's why regardless of Moore's politics (and maybe I am reading to much into what I heard)I'll continue to watch and enjoy. He clearly gives different perspectives the chance to be aired and considered. At least raise the question and let the debate ensue...and all that.
