Another obit - Stanislaw Lem
Stanislaw Lem, a popular science fiction writer whose novel "Solaris" was filmed twice, died Monday in his native Poland, his secretary said. He was 84.

1. I have seen the Russian version of Solaris
It is better than the version with George Clooney.

3. I liked BOTH versions
They both went after different aspects of the story (Tarkovsky's more on the science bent), and they both succeeded very well.
