| WTF - Passions on SciFi Channel |
|
Ok, so I flick on SciFi this morning and they are showing "Passions"??
I've heard of this show, just the title and vaguely aware it is a soap opera of some sort. But am I missing something? I remember it was referred to in Buffy (Spike was a fan) but is there more of a SciFi connection than that to justify it being selected for showing on a "SciFi" Channel?
Of course this is the same network that showed that John Edwards crap. So maybe I shouldn't be so surprised.

I've occasionally had Tivo glitches, when it thought the cable box was on one station when in fact it was on another.
Also, sometimes the cable company will get the channels scrambled.

That was the first thing I thought...I wasn't on the correct channel but I was indeed on SciFi and it wasn't a cable mix-up where they were transmitting the wrong network over the wrong channel either. http://www.scifi.com/schedulebot/index.php3?date=3-APR-2006&feed_req

Guess they're hurting for cash if they're showing that kind of dreck.

| 7. I thought "Passions" has a bit of a sci-fi element to it? |
|
Heck, I remember in the early 80s, some mainstream soap operas like "General Hospital" had storylines out of the sci-fi/fantasy world with vampires & magic and the like.

Now that Vince McMahon has brought back his old competitor, ECW, guess which channel will be airing the TV show? You guessed it, SCI-FI. Now, of course, wrestling IS fiction. but it's the SCIFI CHANNEL DAMNIT!
In my opinion, SCIFI has been going straight downhill ever since they canned GvsE.
