Dr Who - Dalek - really minor spoiler I guess
I think I missed something. After the Doctor encounters the captured Dalek in tonight's episode "Dalek" and he's in the elevator with the billionaire guy did he mention Davros? I heard the end of something the Doctor was sayaing to the rich guy about some 'emperor' I think he said being authoritarian and/or self-centered but I didn't hear the name.

1. That was a great episode
I don't recall the line you're talking about though. Just wait though... It all comes together in the end.

I just watched the first show of season 2. Not the best start, although it was fun to see Casandra again. The next episode looks better with Queen Victoria.

2. Speaking of season 2
I'm getting more and more worried about the actor change for the Doctor. I really like this Doctor, it's going to be hard already to accept a new one. I know I've posted this before but the more I watch the more attached I'm getting to this Doctor.

3. Don't worry.
Here in the UK, we're in the unusual situation of being ahead of you guys for a change - the new guy is great.

4. I've been messaging some people who have...
Oh, it's more or less the same... but there seems to be more change in Rose than in the Doctor.

5. Eccleston was great, but Tennant is doing a fine job.
If you like Eccleston now, wait until you see the end of The Doctor Dances. (2-parter)

The episode that just aired in the UK this weekend brought back Sarah Jane Smith and K-9! (Thanks, BitTorrent, and whomever does the work of putting them out there!)

8. The Doctor Dances
Great line at the end... "Don't forget the welfare state!"

9. Of the 2005 series yep, "The Empty Child"/"Doctor Dances" is my fave.
"The Empty Child" really spooked out my niece. She couldn't watch it without hiding under the covers. That's bloody fantastic (to use the Doctor's own words). And I just liked the whole two-parter.

I don't know if its aired yet on Sci-Fi channel so I won't spoil it.

As for the 2006 season, well.... I guess I've been spoiled by the 2005 one. David Tennant isn't doing that bad a job... in my eyes it's the same transition between Tom Baker and Peter Davison. Both good doctors in their own right but personally I preferred Tom Baker over Peter D. It could be because of the scriptwriting too.... Douglas Adams contribued AFAIK during the Tom Baker era.

But that's just my take. The Girl in the Fireplace was a good episode. School Reunion was more camp for my taste...

Mark.

6. I just went back and watched that scene again.
The Doctor mentioned that inside armor is the real Dalek, a genetically-engineered mutant. The billionaire (Van Staten (sp?)) asked who engineered it, and the Doctor doesn't mention Davros by name but says he's a madman/power crazy or something like that, just like Van Staten.
