Torchwood is here! *spoilers* |
|
Anyone else watch it Saturday night?
What can I say - I liked it. Great way to introduce people to the series, with the main character discovering Torchwood, the memory erasure, the tie ins to Dr Who. Nice stuff. I can also see why they labelled it as for more mature audiences than Dr Who. Who would not have shown aliens biting off heads, or captain Jack getting shot like that. Lets hope they keep up the nice work so far.

1. There's a couple of good episodes |
|
Cyberwoman and They Keep Killing Suzie being the two that stand out in my head at the moment. You might as well just skip the episode written by Noel Clarke (Mickey, Rose's boyfriend on Doctor Who). Overall it was really disappointing and I can't see it getting better unfortunately.

2. Sorry, it seems more immature. To me, 'mature' means more intelligent writing... |
|
more intrigue, depth, and substance... not just gratuitous sex and violence for people to get off on. (Just wait for the 2nd episode, if I recall rightly...)
I wouldn't mind sitting through the episode P J Hammond wrote, but I doubt it'll be anywhere near as good as his series "Sapphire and Steel"...
