I read Asimov for decades. I moved, my subscription lapsed, I had no money, so I didn't renew. . . though I wish I had. Reading a short story before bed helps to make sure it's not suddenly - OMFG!!! - 2:30 in the morning (oops) when you're reading a book instead. lol.
I had the privilege of taking a class from a Scifi author who had been published in there. I didn't recognize the name at the time, but he started reading one of his stories in class one day and I recognized it immediately. "I've READ you before!" I said. Upon further review I found I'd read quite a few of his short stories.
I "found" so many authors through them!
I loved that mag. (and I loved the guy it was named for, even more.)
