Hi. I'm searching for an SF book I read as a teenager in the mid 1960's. I do not remember the name or author. It is made up of a series of related novelettes based on the concept of happiness. In the 1st a company promises to guarantee total happiness to an individual in exchange for signing over 1/2 of all assists. The second, set some time later unhappiness has been made illegal. This is enforced by a caste of people called "hedonists" who are charged with keeping people happy and weeding out of society of those who refuse. That's about all I remember. Does anyone know this book? I'd Appreciate any information.
