They both had their strong/weak points. Both are tremendously funny, talented guys.
And for the record, I started off with Joel on Comedy Central.

Back in the day people would get seriously upset if that were asked. Me personally, I thought it was all rather silly to get pissed off over asking that question. Especially since it was just a show and one should relax while watching it and all that.
Anyway, I liked both Joel and Mike equally well for different reasons.
I also like both versions of Crow. I liked Pearl too!
I loved and still love MST3K, in any form.

Mike occasionally appeared with the mad scientists when Joel was on the ship. Each had a different kind of humor, but both made me laugh. If we should take a vote it should be the Mad Scientists verses Pearl and Bobo.
