Gun grabbing - Dem or Rep

My brother is being fed a line by some hunting friend that HRC will lead the charge to take away gun owning rights. While I absolutely hate HRC, I have no expectation that she would support such policies, or that this is any more than silly hyperbole by a guy who heard it from Rush or Hannity.

Could anyone please give me spcific examples of Repuke efforts to limit weapons ownership rights so he can throw it in this guy's face next time it comes up?
