trying some different types of fishing lately, I've been a fly fisherman most of my life. Last year I bought another boat to do some steelhead fishing on the Snake River and decided to try to catch a sturgeon. I've seen plenty being caught I just don't know how.
I tried below LOWER GRANITE DAM yesterday and above the dam today in about 120 feet of water using squid. Yesterday I used herring. I know there are some huge catfish around the dam also. Any tips for sturgeon and big catfish? I caught catfish in Texas but never the 50 60 pounders around dams.

| 1. Catfish will eat just about anything. One popular bait is stinkbait. This |

stuff is awful. Smells like the worst garbage dumpster behind the dirtiest, foulest restaurant you ever imagined. I highly recommend that you wear disposable gloves, maybe even two pair, and do not under any circumstances open the container in an enclosed area.
I had a woman come in the store and buy snacks. She was fishing with a commercial stinkbait. I had to wash the money before I put it in the cash register.
All that said, catfish love the stuff.
