down in Autuaga county near Montgomery, AL. If I had a dime for every deer track I saw, I'd have enough for a good dinner for two. The only critters I saw was one lone turkey and a woodchuck that was up about a yard in a small pine tree near my stand. He seemed content to sit there and oddly enough, wasn't afraid of me.

Deer season has been over for a month up my way. Eleven long months until it rolls around again.

We are in our extended season right now for does and spikes only. There is a big over population problem and they want everybody to get 5, 2 buck and 3 does.

Our deer season is up in two weeks, except now we have no restrictions as our population needs to be thinned. There's some talk about extending it on into February this year.
