I am taking it up and my son and I are gonna go as soon as we get a warm spot. Any tips? I used to fish a lot as a kid but mostly reel and bobber type stuff.

I gather from your post you've never fly fished before?
If you don't have someone around to give you some pointers there are several books and videos about that should help shorten the learning curve. You could also check out your local fly shops and get some lessons. You may drop a few bucks but that is probably the quickest way to get up to speed.
Good luck and have fun.

| 3. Fly fishing is my life. |

My best advice? Take a lesson from a professional. Cost you fifty bucks, gets you started right.
It's a journey, not a destination.

No I haven't been flyfishing before. I will try and locate someone to give me some lesons. Does anyone know any good spots in Maryland. I hear Gunpowder falls state park is supposed to be good.

You may find this site interesting, it's one that my group designed and created. www.calflyfisher.org
Another is www.buckabug.com, an inexpensive source of flys.
