freshwater and now I'm waiting to get out and do some serious fishing. It feels kind of liberating to make your own rigs and it gives me something to do while I watch the tube. The ice left the lake last Sunday and the striped bass are beginning to run at the shore so WhooHooo spring has really arrived. Do any other DU'ers make their own rigs and if so what knots do you recommend for mono?
See you on the water.

| 1. Not sure what you mean by rigs, but... |

I used to tie my own flies and I still tie my own leaders. I also make my own carolina rigs ahead of time to save time on the water.
Ice is still on the lakes here, but it will be gone soon.

High/Low rigs, Bottom rigs, etc. I just found out how much fun it is. I also think this season I will get into fly fishing. I've done it off and on in the past and have an old split bamboo rod around (lol it will probably snap) and a couple of reels so I'll give it another shot. We have some good trout rivers around here.
