My wife and I want to go fossil hunting. She's got her hiking gear, rock hammer, brushes, and all that good stuff ready. Now it's my turn.
Any hiking clothing you can recommend for guys, especially the big & tall type?

| 1. This is very idiosyncratic, but ... |

Royal Robbins pants kick ass and I'm partial to Vasque boots. And Patagonia clothes in general, if they fit the need.

at REI before going up to Iowa with Dean.
They're especially for hiking, and made of super stretchy, yet super comfy material. They don't itch, rub, or anything. And they stood up for serious long distance walking. Almost like they energized my feet!
I want to get about 40 pairs of these things! Sorry don't know the brand, but look for special "hiking" socks. fsc
