How does Moveon get away with mis-naming a bill Dennis wrote? |
|
Dennis did most of the work on that resolution to pull out of Iraq. He co-wrote it with Abercrombie. Then he got our advice on how to sell it to the Republicans. Then he got Ron Paul and Freedom Fry Jones to sign on, which was a major feat - especially in Jones's case. Moveon is calling it the Abercrombie-Jones resolution as if Dennis didn't exist. It's great that they are backing it. But it's also time Dennis got some credit for the great things he does.

1. It's OK for us to take MoveOn to task-- |
|
--however, I think that Dennis chose to let the Repubs and the less well-known Dem step forward on purpose.
It was no feat to get Paul involved--he has consistently voted against the war from the start. In fact, Paul and Kucinich co-authored an alternative to the PATRIOT Act that never got out of committee, called the the Benjamin Franklin True Patriot Act.
