1. You are awesome, jillan! |

I would never have known about this! I caught only the last 5 minutes, but it looks like C-SPAN is repeating it at about 12:52 and 6:42 am tomorrow.
Loved the way JK made order out of potential chaos.

3. THAT was amazing! He's showing us the kind of diplomacy... |
|
...that the country has been lacking for eight years. Remember the 2004 Presidential debate, where Kerry said the number one problem (in foreign policy) facing the country was nuclear proliferation? Now he has the opportunity to work on that...that's profound. Tears of joy... ;)

4. Thank you so much - I caught it in the replay |

It was really great. It is amazing how much more engagement is happening than in the past on all levels - between the 2 Presidents, between them and the Obama administration, including people leading many departments and this unusual Senate lunch/meeting. I am hopeful that this might be able to do what is an almost unbelievable job - pulling these countries back from the abyss. Pullingso many Senate leaders in on both sides of the aisle could be essential in getting the needing buy ins for the legislation.
It was cool seeing Kerry shushing the noisy reporters.
Thanks again.

...it reminded me of how new teachers try to quiet an unruly group of students. :) I wanted to tell him that he needs to establish a "quiet" signal beforehand and then use the signal to get their attention. But, probably, unruly reporters are a bit different than 10 year olds...or maybe not. :7
