| Does not following the Sotomayor hearings make me a bad Dem? |
|
I have tried to work up some interest in this, but I just can't seem too do it. I think Sonia Sotomayor is a fine nominee, the Republican opposition is all smoke and mirrors and that she will be easily confirmed.
I didn't watch any of it today. That is out of character for me. I feel a little bad about this.
Anyone else just sort of non-plussed by these confirmation hearings?

there is so much going on. the Repubilcans will do the same things they always do, and probably be offensive.
but unless something big happens that changes things, she will be confirmed.

,,,Dems. :7 It is hard to stay interested...for me, anyway...when her confirmation is nearly a done deal. But I'm trying to watch, because of the historic significance. ;)

these proceedings. So Tay, don't feel bad you are not alone and not having an inerest does not make you a bad Dem.

She seems good and it seems that she will have little trouble being confirmed - so I just read summary articles.

Watching Sessions alone, dancing on the precipice of racism and sexism, spewing his crap, is enough to make you want to reach into the TV to bop him upside the head.

| 6. Total snoozefest. I am also not watching (well, the kids are home so |
|
I wouldn't really be able to watch anyway, but even if I could, I wouldn't), and find it boring. I just watch the update on BBC America at night, and figure I know enough. The fights the GOP are trying to have are from the '80s. Many of us have moved on from those kinds of culture war issues.
