found an October 2004 article from the journal Nature (maybe it was Science?pretty sure it was Nature) about Sen Kerry rounding up 3 Nobel Prize Winners to mobilize the scientists for his campaign. Article went on to mention how much the Kerry campaign was emphasizing science, and explicitly mentioned THK's work in these areas.
What really struck me, given the years of Monday-morning quarterbacking we've had to listen to, is how together and forward-looking JK's campaign sounded in this article.
Later (like the end of the week. . .life is totally out of control right now), I'll try to post excerpts (the links to these journals aren't free. . .need to have library access or subscription to access th em) But it was nice to be reminded that JK and THK are cool, and truly substantive people. Nothing this forum didn't already know, but heartening to see evidence that others have seen what we see.

I love me anybody who supports the scientists. :) It's probably a testament to how awful the media coverage of him really was, if this escaped me. I remember his convention speech where he made a reference to "I will have an administration that believes in science," but that's it.
Now this may sound silly, but... sometimes JK makes me think of Doctor Who. He's a little bit Jon Pertwee and a little bit Tom Baker. Especially Pertwee's polish and Baker's voice. :)

I set the recorder, but had the TV on TCM for the first half hour by mistake! I can hardly bear this program (I forgot that slime Stephanopoulos was on it now, too!) so if I've missed THK already, I'd love to turn it off!!!! LOL!

Really weird - as they didn't say that until now and it was not announced, but on a promo ad. It was on the online menu for my cable system this morning.

Thanks. I guess I'll get ready for more yuckiness tomorrow. But if CSPAN deigns to film the SFRC Haiti hearing and I can't set the recorder for both, I think the SFRC will win! I guess the GMA will be available online anyway...
I'm glad THK is doing this. I so admire her for trying to help others by speaking out.

| 10. I was wondering whether I had missed her. I watched until 8:45 and no Teresa. |
|
I will catch it tomorrow then. Oh, and GMA is not to my liking. If Teresa wasn't going to be on, I would have changed the channel almost immediately.

| 11. I had to leave about then, but I TIVOed it - and I just watched the last 15 minutes |

At the very end, Robin mentioned that yesterday, she had interviewed Teresa at her home and spoke of it being on tomorrow's show. This was good to hear - as it means that GMA screwed up, not that Teresa had to postpone it. They likely were not able to edit it on time or something - as there were any number of segments that could have been delayed - ie preschoolers wanting and buying high heels designed for them and people who are obese, even though their weight is within the chart's limits (!! very stupid given the definition of obesity.)
