JK on Meet the Press Sunday |
|
According to WaPo, other guests include James Baker and Willie Brown. (Can't begin to imagine what the common theme might be here!)

(working from memory, didn't check transcript, so may not be 100% correct): "to do it right is as important as doing it". That seems to me Sen. Kerry's general M.O., and it's one reason I value him so highly.
don't listen to the next part of the broadcast. The extended Reagan-worship left me nauseous. And the statements by Willie Brown, who should know better (having experienced the damage that Reagan did California first hand) , were unforgivable . Not surprising, alas (Willie Brown is a well-known opportunist slimeball), but still unforgivable.

2. Kerry was actually very reassuring |

He listed all the things that have happened in 10 days - including Mubarak and his son not running, the emergency powers act being lifted, the commitment to free speech and the ability to form parties. He also completely rejected Visner's comments as from the administration. He did a nice job of defending the administration - which was gracious and likely easier as he has been seen as having been very good on this. He spoke of the US and other country's "flooding the field" to push Eqypt to take the right steps, but stressing the choice will be Eqypt's.
