Lawrence O'Donnell's Rewrite today was fantastic |
|
He reviewed Kerry's ACCURATE ideas about fighting terrorism and getting OBL - and how the Bush people mocked Kerry's comments. He then went through just how bad Bush did - from Tora Bora to saying he really did not care.
He had footage of Kerry in the primaries speaking of how to fight terrorists. (It was starting to see as he really really was very gaunt then and his hair was darker - oddly about 8 years later he looks younger. )

2. I will have to watch the show later on when it repeats. Thanks. |

I was wondering when and if anyone would give Senator Kerry some recognition regarding this matter.

That was fantastic, brought back just how much JK talked about exactly that in his campaign, Lawrence did an excellent summation and I can see who the president listens to. ;)

O'Donnell will always be one of my favorites - if only for this, for the time that he told a SBVT that he was lying about 20 times and in, I think 2005, when on a panel asking who could win in 2005 - he said John Kerry and made the point that he could be a strong candidate (or something like that) - at a point where snark was the only thing most of the media used when speaking of JK.

O'Donnell also read a paragraph from the NYT article on Kerry's approach.
Loved the segment.

Don't ask.... I was already in a weird mood. But yes, it was a wonderful and more than deserved "rewrite".

for me too. Just a reminder what could of been with a President Kerry, this country lost a lot in '04.

...alone. Kerry finally being recognized...even a little...for his dedication is pretty emotional for me, too. :hi: BTW, here's the link to political videos: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=385&topic_id=580728&mesg_id=580728

12. Thanks for the link. I finally watched it. |

Really nice to see.
I guess I feel a little differently. Now that OBL is dead, 2004 is less painful to me. There was a delay, but justice has been done.

14. Hi, beachmom. I feel much better about 2004... |
|
..too. I am very glad to see justice done where OBL is concerned. And it's nice to finally see glimmers of recognition for Senator Kerry's efforts to get our country on track again. ;)
I just wish the country was not so divided over...what often seems to me like...every issue. I continue to hope the crazy 'airing' of all these odd issues...birtherism, for instance...will eventually clear the air (or lance the wound) and start us on the road to healing. I am ready for the pain to end. :hi:
