I wonder if my friend's 30 year old son is secretly taking his daughter's Ritalin. He self-diagnosed himself with ADHD and has said he wished that he had been on medication when he was younger.
He's not eating. Not motivated. Lethargic. Just a feeling that "something's not right" when you talk to him.
This has been recent, perhaps starting 6 weeks ago.
Any advice? Any opinions?

2. Tell him to start taking vitamin D |

(plus Mg/Zn and Calcium)
If he's taking ritalin, i would think he would not be lethargic and unmotivated. Ritalin is an amphetamine, I believe.
Also, if he has health coverage, he might have his thyroid checked out.
And if he truly has ADHD, he can get his own Rx for a drug, something that might work better than ritalin.

he sounds like he might be right and have undiagnosed ADHD, especially if his daughter has it. It is a genetic disorder passed through a parent who has it. He needs to get diagnosed and get on some meds. This would help his lethargic feeling and unmotivation. He also sounds like he is depressed--something that goes along with undiagnosed ADHD.
