Good Lord! This place is about to shrivel up and die! |

Let's pour a little water on the metaphorical aloe plant that is the Mental Health Support Group. Anyone have any Miracle Grow?
How y'all doin? I've been doing really well lately. No hard times or rough patches to report. I do have a little bit of a dilemma regarding my ongoing treatment, though. In January I moved 50 miles away from my home town and into a different state to be with my fiance. In March I quit working for myself and got a new job. I really don't like to ask for time off seeing as how I just started working there, and I've been looking for a doctor in the area who can work around my schedule, but there don't appear to be any.
My next appointment with my doctor is July 15th at 4pm. I usually work until that time and it will take me an hour to get there. I also really don't want to switch doctors because I've been with the same guy for 8 years. So, it's looking like I'll have to ask for a half day anyway. I just hate to do it. I'm hoping they will understand.
So, how have you been?

I've been trying to come up with something to start in this part of the DU cyber village. Give it a spurt of Miracle Grow. Came up blank.
Me? I've stalled. I'm starting to think that this is as good as it gets. Grown weary of being used a 'test rat' for my drug pusher doctor to try new cocktails on. He wants to up my Zombie sedative drug and I'm reluctant to do that. It does help but the side effects are terrible. Haven't been to therapy in months and I feel guilty about calling her to start it back up. With a $5,500 annual deductible it's all cash out of pocket which is a major consideration.
So, I try to program myself to accept that it won't get any better. This is my life now. I try to stay busy with anything I can come up. Helps keep my mind from drifting off into the dark muck.
I'm sure your new employer will understand. Sooooo glad you're doing well. Be happy. Enjoy your new life. :hi:

I just got accepted into a pharmacy program, so I'm heading back to school. Wrote about it in my latest blog update: http://thedanarchist.blogspot.com/2011/07/wow-its-been-while.html
