1. I know someone who does
She is a schizophrenic who was taking risperdal for her psychotic symptoms. After a while on the drug they noticed from a blood test that she had some sort of hormone that was elevated in her blood. They prescribed the abilify because it is thought that the drug would decrease the levels of the harmful hormone.

2. one side effect is GI distress
I started puking and vomiting after I started taking it. Haven't quite been the same since.

3. I was taking it to control mania for a while.
I had a bad reaction. I can't remember now what it was any more. I've found that the only atypical anti-psychotic that I can deal with is risperdal. I hate it anyway.
