I have to fly today - shit |
|
I am much better than I used to be but I still hate the idea of it and I hate the whole process. I'm going to take several Klonopins, (doctor approved) which means I will be wide awake on the plane but fall asleep when I get to Jersey.
Anyone have some advice about how to help with this thing? I am taking magazines with nice pictures that help me when I am nervous and I keep remembering what they taught in the "fear of flying book" that the plane is like sitting on a cushion of air - not just suspended in nothingness.

I would have said to get drunk right before you get on the plane, but now I know that's not such a good idea. ;)
If you time the klonopin right you might just sleep through the whole ordeal.

2. I take plently of water, a banana for upset tummy, |

magazines, and a book on fear as a friend.....
I also stay up the night before a long flight so that I am so exhausted I don't care so much about being cooped up in a plane - so exhausted that I am relieved and "happy" to just have to SIT.
Concentrate on breathing evenly and peacefully when nervousness rises....and sips of water help too.
