I have depression and, I think, anxiety since I am also on risperdal in addition to Lexapro and Effexor XR. I have actually been feeling pretty good of late but I have noticed something. I'm starting to get involved with a woman and whenever I do something (send flowers, call, send an e-mail) I am in tatters waiting for a response. I've always been a little impatient and what not but it didn't used to hurt like this. Is this normal under these circumstances?

When I started dating after a divorce, I found myself having a lot of anxiety in just this way. "How will this gesture be read?" "When do I get a response?" Lots of anxiety where before then, I'd gotten my anxiety level comfortably managed. LOL! That is an oxymoron, but I bet you know what I mean.
I started walking! I got a puppy to divert some of those relational needs and puppy needed to be walked. It was the best thing ever because it's FREE, you don't have to sit in a waiting room, and all you need are feet.
We got up to five miles a day. And my whole anxiety problem dissipated. I still had to learn about relationships but that learning was not accompanied by over the top anxiety levels. Fwiw. :)

And yes... I have both to deal with. You'll be fine as long as you are yourself. Then you won't be second guessing wither she likes you, or the stiff guy you were trying to be. MAKE mistakes... that's how I got mine. And it's been 7 years.
