| I doubled my prozac dose today... |

With luck it will make me happy and get entirely out of my depressive funk. (I had been doing better, and I want to be able to risk talking to people in undefined settings again.)

Please, HT, cover this with your Doctor. Don't play games with meds.
Not only do I take them myself, but I used to work as a peer counselor for Easter Seals. I got me a little professional experience in these here thingies.

Drug interaction is a random occurrance for me.
Indeed, the night I attempted suicide a month ago, I took a relaxant and an anti-convulsant. The side-effect from mixing these two, oddly, was severe depression - I just don't cry like that, especially with the amount of detail I had put into things. I drove to the ER and was catatonic when I talked to the intake nurse.
My previous doctors did play games with meds and I recall getting screwed up on them too.

I was able to finish college- perhaps not with the greatest GPA, but that's 'cause I was doing other things- (trying to save the world) rather than classwork. However, I was able to do all of this because I was no longer so shy, dysthymic and I learned to rely on myself more and more as I went from a complete breakdown to a much stronger campus leader.
I wish you the best. Let us know how it's going!

I'd never realized how much depression or anxiety were blunting my life. It was truly a revelation.

I doubled my dosage of Celexa from 20 to 40 mg on Saturday, and just today I came here feeling so depressed and was lucky enough to find this group and see this post. I'm just glad to know I'm not totally alone, even though I am sad others are experiencing depression. Just finding a place where I can even talk to others about this is such a relief.

I am on 60 mg of Cymbalta, after the Paxil quit working. My good news is that CMSP will now cover my perscription, and I no longer will need to rely on samples. Anti-depressants are wonderful for those who really need them; without my medication I am non-functional, and can slide into suicidal thinking. Hope all goes well for you.

| 10. I fear prozac may need to be upped again in a few weeks |
|
And I can only wonder what I'd be right now if I wasn't on it. :scared:
Still, it gives me time. With luck, things will change around.
I hope things go well for you too.
