My mental health has temporarily gone down |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-16-07 04:16 PM by sakabatou
It used to be acute anxiety disorderthat was controled by meds. However, now that I have encephalitis, it's really bad. Shaking, anger, forgetfulness, headaches, getting cold, tensing up (more-often) and other "sympthoms."
So, hi.
For those that don't know what encephalitis is:
From Wiki: Encephalitis is an acute inflammation of the brain, commonly caused by a viral infection. Sometimes, encephalitis can result from a bacterial infection, such as bacterial meningitis, or it may be a complication of other infectious diseases like rabies (viral) or syphilis (bacterial). Certain parasitic protozoal infestations, like by toxoplasma, can also cause encephalitis in people with compromised immune systems. Brain damage occurs as the inflamed brain pushes against the skull, and can lead to death.

1. People have always recommended.. |

when I'm having a hard time, to remember the good times. I however, try to remember a really bad time...when I thought my life had flat-lined, and there would never again be joy or peace. The very worst comes and goes, with no effort on my part. I'm not familiar with your condition, but it sounds painful and intrusive. The advice I give myself is to be kind to me,..coax myself into a hot bubble-bath, from which I know I will emerge..different. My kit of feel betters includes hot tea, books, coloring, craft-stuff, walking, incense and paying attention to what I allow in my head and my body.

2. not your mental health- your neurological health |

stay on the right side of the artificial divide, will ya? you have a tired brain. follow good sleep hygiene, and take care of yourself. this stuff should reverse with your recovery.

dissing the stupid way that brain disorders are put in little boxes. some have shame attached, some don't. some are regarded as concrete, some are regarded as ephemeral. at least only a few still regard them as spiritual. hopefully, they will soon be regarded as just medical.

And yesterday I had another seizure: when I was on anti-seizure meds.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, that sucks. I had psychological repercussions from something going wrong with a nonvital organ, but this must be so much worse.
Otaku solidarity, man. Dunno what else to say. Here's a huggle if it'll help.
