Does anyone ever post on the mental health forums?

I am feeling so down and almost suicidal I just can hardly bear to put one food in front of the other. I have bipolar, depression and PTSD and because we are poor and live in Texas and because we are lesbians and so I can't be on my girlfriend's insurance...I have no meds. I just can't stand it. I have a "no harm to self" contract with my shrink, who sees me pro bono, just btw and my girlfriend but this depression is just overwhelming. I almost feel they are being unfair. When life is just painful what's the fucking point.

Don't worry. I take my contracts seriously thus my still being here but man...I hate life and just about everything about it. It is a burden and it is painful.

no, i know. kidding. sorta. but, i mean- texas!
please do what you can to take care of yourself. i know the new meds are very expensive, but if you have a doc that understands, maybe you can find something more affordable that will help. have you tried any in the past that helped? or haven't you even been able to try? i know some folks here have gotten some help from the drug company assistance plans. i know sometimes you have to try a lot of different ones to find what works. that can be pretty tough without insurance.

3. Samples. When I had no money, my doc used to give me

his samples. The package said not for dispensing, so he repackaged them. :evilgrin:

2. Lee -- settle your meds with your shrink and check out

the programs Big Pharma has for people who can't afford their meds. I'll help you find them.

Hugs back to y'all. I have gotten my drugs from pharmaceutical companies before. They are good about that. The problem is, my therapist is just a social worker so can't prescribe. No psychiatrist will see me pro bono and the state won't help. The drug companies can only give drugs if you have a prescription. It's the doctor we can't afford.

I appreciate the support, more than you can imagine. Thank-you.
