I was offered a sample after going off celexa but I was online researching and did not see alot of positive comments. What is the scoop on this stuff? :hi:

Not too bad, I think. No side effects and did help my depression. Cymbalta is similar as well......

2. I find it much gentler than Paxil |
|
I'm still taking it. Seems to suit me well. It's a good choice if there's an anxiety component.
Some folks report a Lexapro-induced apathy after some time on the drug. I haven't had that problem.

3. Celexa is available as an inexpensive generic. |
|
Lexapro isn't.
If cost is a concern, try citalopram first. In my own experience there wasn't a lot of difference, and the citalopram cost me less than $10 a month.
In the long run neither worked out well for me, although in a pinch I could probably be uncomfortable but functional on citalopram.

4. I have to say I had a bad experience with it |

But it may have been more the total cocktail I was on.
